The Big Avon Paddle 2024 –
Lots more to splash about!
The Big Avon Paddle takes place at The Boathouse, Bath starting at 10am and finishing at 6pm. This year there are two options to paddle - the new 1.5-mile fun loop as well as the 4.5-mile loop. Participants can choose to paddle one route or a mix of both routes as many times as they wish in this paced event.
It promises be a fun filled day out for participants of all abilities and ages and an ideal team-building event for families, friends and colleagues. Refreshments will be available at The Boathouse and there will be live music entertainment throughout the day as well as a fun pirate theme! Head to our website here for more information.

Last year’s event raised a brilliant £12,384, which made a huge impact here at the Hospice. Along with our amazing Corporate Partner, CK Sup & Paddle, we’re looking to smash that amount to support even more patients and their families. Every penny raised makes such a difference.

£20 could fund an hour of care in someone’s home, providing support and comfort through the night.

£56 could fund an important physiotherapy visit to help restore mobility for one of our patients

£114 could fund a morning of care provided by a Community Nurse Specialist, helping patients manage, discomfort, emotional distress and coordinating their care.

Each entry fee includes a finisher’s medal and pizza at the end of the day.

Family Entry is £50 available (family of 3, 4 or 5 people - max 2 adults)
We’re asking every participant or family to aim to raise £50 in sponsorship to help raise vital funds for Dorothy House continue to provide free end-of-life care in the community.
