Upcoming shows

Sunday 2 June:

Halcyon (2-4pm)

The Bristol-based quintet Halcyon was formed in 2021 and quickly developed a unique sound in the landscape of the UK modern jazz scene. Mixing elements of jazz, funk, prog rock, or any other genre that might influence the writing, the band flows between carefully crafted moments and improvised sections in line with the jazz tradition.

Sunday 23 June:

Charlie Dempsey (2-4pm)

Colliding the honest lyricism of artists like Lewis Capaldi and Holly Humberstone with the anthemic overtones of the 1975, Charlie Dempsey (Frontman of DEMPSEYS) engineers a soundscape fueled by emotion and storytelling.

Charlie’s honest, matter-of-fact narrative co-exists alongside colourful soundscapes to create songs you can hum, sing or belt along to like therapy.

Sunday 9  June:

Salt Beef Reuben (2-4pm)

Salt Beef Reuben cultivated their sound whilst performing jazz and funk standards at venues around the South West of England. Maniacal keyboard lines, booming bass and a flurry of furious guitar licks are underpinned by hypnotic grooves from the drum-kit. These elements combine to create an experience that has been described as ‘pretty darn spicy’. It’s jazz… but louder, angrier and back with a vengeance.

Featuring Tim Petherick on guitar, Tom Wyeth on keyboard, Jack Lecomber on bass and Adam Merrell on drums

Sunday 30 June:

Barney Kenny (2-4pm)

Armed with a 12 string guitar and a lapsteel, Barney Kenny’s music doesn’t fall into the normal trappings of ‘folk’. Heavily influenced by world music, blues and rock, Barney blends storytelling and acoustic music with his foot–stomping delta style.
