Interview with
Party Games!
Matthew Cottle makes a welcome return to Bath’s Theatre Royal in June when he stars as Prime Minister John Waggner in the world premiere of a new comedy-drama Party Games! by political insider Michael McManus.
Marking his tenth production at the Theatre Royal since 2001, Matthew Cottle was last seen by Bath audiences in Mrs Warren’s Profession in 2022. His numerous stage credits also include roles at the National Theatre, in the West End and on tour. Matthew is well known on TV as Martin in the BAFTA-nominated Game On, Edward in The Windsors, Dave in Citizen Khan, Liam in Unforgotten and Malcolm in A Perfect State. He’s also made guest appearances in Bridgerton, Man Down, Endeavour, Plebs and Life Begins, played Stan Laurel in the film Chaplin and appeared as Albany in The Dresser alongside Anthony Hopkins and Ian McKellen.
